My name is Michał Dobrzański, PhD, and I'm currently the Acting Head of the Department of Social Philosophy and the Head of the German Philosophy Lab at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Warsaw.

Research interests:

German Philosophy:

- Arthur Schopenhauer: philosophy of language, philosophical methodology, theory of rationality, influence on analytic philosophy and non-classic German philosophy

Social Philosophy:

- language as carrier and relay of cultural values, intersubjectivity, ontology of collective subjects, meaning of abstracta denoting social entities

- the influence of material environment on the shaping of social relations: the proxemics of common spaces, the ethics of space, the ethics of transport

- philosophical sources of contemporary doctrines and political practices of Germany and Poland, political philosophy of Poland-Lithuania

Didactics of Philosophy:

- application of empirical methods in the didactics of philosophy (currently: "Betzavta / Miteinander" method)
